Mary Antonia Kowall passed away peacefully September 13, 2011 at Malaspina Gardens, Nanaimo, BC.
Mary was born November 18, 1919 in Parklands, Alberta, the daughter of Charles Martin Hrdlicka and Antonia (Anna) Mrkvicka.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, brother Clifford Charles and sister Emily Cilia Louise and her son Joseph.
Mary married Charles Kowall February 19, 1938 in Michal, BC and they had two sons, Ronald and Joseph.
Mary was a founding member of the Catholic Woman’s League which started in Michal in 1938. Mary and Charlie lived in Natal, Sparwood and Creston, BC where Charlie passed way in 1997. She moved to Nanaimo in 2005 to be with her son Ron (Theresa).
She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by her son Ron (Theresa), grandson Nick, (Ben), granddaughter Sandra, family members in Alberta, BC, Ontario and Idaho plus many friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at Rivercrest Cemetery in Sparwood, BC on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.
