This fundraising event offers up tasty hors d’oeuvres, a delicious dinner and an exhilarating evening of auctions and multiple raffles that promote and support the continuity and preservation of our wetlands.

Tickets are $45 each and are available at Mawson Sports or by contacting Gertie Brown at 250-428-7581. Tickets purchased by September 29th are eligible for the Early Bird Draw!

In the last 33 years The Creston Chapter of Ducks Unlimited Canada has raised over $600,00.00 with support from the local community. Fund raising initiatives such as these, along with the support from generous sponsors, have made it possible to deliver programs focused on wetland conservation. One such project is called ‘Project Webfoot’. Project Webfoot is a Ducks Unlimited Wetland Education Program for elementary schools which introduces students to the fascinating world of wetlands and encourages them to become stewards of our world-famous Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area.

Project Webfoot was first introduced in 2004 and since 2009 every school in District No.8 (Kootenay Lake), from Creston to Crawford Bay, benefits from this educational program.

Programs such as these and the amazing work done in our area by DUC reflects an overall commitment and dedication to habitat management at the CVWMA.
