On Jan. 6 and 7, the Prince Charles Secondary School junior boys and girls basketball teams hosted three zone schools as part of the league play.

The junior girls won all three games, defeating DTSS 28-16, Selkirk 36-14 and Parkland 43-32. Courtney Valer and Karly Shrubsall were the team’s high scorers for the weekend. Darla Fabbro and Lyndi Gerlinski coach the junior girls.

The boys lost to Invermere’s David Thompson Secondary School 48-36, defeated Kimberley’s Selkirk Secondary School 44-23 and defeated Cranbrook’s Parkland Middle School 68-23. Riley Hills was top scorer for the weekend. Rick Czar coaches the boys.

The next home games are Jan. 27 and 28, when the senior boys and girls host their tournament.
