The Creston Judo Club would like to send our congratulations to our 6 athletes who have just got back from Kamloops. These kids are training hard towards being able to compete in the BC winter games in Fort St John 2020. Thank you, Lachlan Kerin(bronze), Lawson Banbury(gold), Daniel Fabro(bronze), Leo Turner, Even Felitsyn(bronze) and Conor Grindle for being great competitors and ambassadors of our club. You all make us proud.

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to our head coach Sensei Leelan Samuelson for escorting our athletes to this tournament. Our club dreams big because you are in our corner.

Six athletes went to Fernie for a Ne-waza (ground work) competition. For 3 of these athletes, it was their very first competition, and 2 of them came out of retirement for it. Thank you to Olexa Felitsyn(gold), Elijah Bayley(gold), Taitem Grindle(gold), Jax Archambault(silver), Joel Mann(silver), Laura Knudsen(silver). It was a great club representation.

We would also like to extend a huge congratulations to Shianne Gronen (former Creston Judo club member) who won a gold medal January 26th in Montreal and is traveling to Europe for 3 other tournaments in Belgium, France, and Austria

Shianne is training in Montreal and competing at a world level but we are happy to say that she started her Judo career in Creston

Lastly, we would send our Congratulations to Brea Booth who is now training in Lethbridge. We are also sending tons of cheers and support to Brea as she prepares herself for the upcoming competition in Italy and then Spain. You are such an inspiration to our young competitors.
