The Prince Charles Secondary School senior girls volleyball team finished its season 15th in the province on Dec. 3. The girls went into provincial play in Vancouver and found the experience exciting and at times overwhelming.

Sierra Harland was named to the third team all-star list. The team was coached by Colleen Douville and Allison Kepke.

PCSS has been selected to host the AA provincial championships for 2012-13.

•The bantam boys volleyball team finished first in the East Kootenay championships on Dec. 3, after defeating Elkford, Sparwood, Laurie Middle School (Cranbrook) and Invermere in the tournament at Cranbrook. Mike Nelson coached the team.

•The bantam girls volleyball team finished seventh in the East Kootenay championship in Golden on Dec. 3. The girls were coached by Karin Hawkins and Sue Thorne.

•Basketball practices have started at all grade levels, and games will start after the Christmas break.
