The Prince Charles Secondary School junior girls volleyball team competed in the East Kootenay championships on the weekend in Sparwood.
The girls were undefeated in pool play, beating Golden Secondary School, Elkford Secondary School, Selkirk, Mount Baker Secondary School (Cranbrook) and Laurie. The team defeated Jaffray in the semifinals and lost in three games to Selkirk (Kimberly) in the final.
The team MVP was Karly Shrubsall, and head coach is Gillian Kemle, assisted by Dianne MacDonald and Curtis Fleck.
