On May 31 and June 1, the Creston Golf Club hosted the Zone 1 ladies tournament. Its winners earn the right to move on to the provincial championship.

Fifty-one women participated in the event, and the best in the tournament were Julia Dereniwsky (overall low gross), Cherie Baker (senior low gross), Kira Dereniwsky (overall low net), Linda Bobic (senior low net) and Kelly Kemle (low net handicap factor 18.1 and up).
