The Creston Valley Minor Hockey Association’s midget team has now qualified for the tier 3 provincials in Osoyoos.

On the weekend, Creston beat Cranbrook 5-4 in overtime to win the best-of-three series two games to one. In the other games in the series, Cranbrook won 6-3 and Creston won 3-1.

The previous weekend, the Creston midgets swept a tournament, winning all three round robin games — 5-1 against Cranbrook, 8-4 against Golden and 6-3 agaisnt Elk Valley — and the final game 8-5 over Elk Valley for the league championship.
