Creston’s Black Eyed Cherries are hosting the second annual Cherrytown Beatdown on June 14 in the John Bucyk Arena at the Creston and District Community Complex.
Three mixed roller derby teams — from the Kootenays and as far away as Boise, Idaho — will compete in two bouts, with the winner of the first bout taking on an all-star team for the second.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m., with the first whistle at 5 and the second at 7. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and free for children 12 and under.
