The Creston Valley Thunder Cats is a team in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.

The Creston Valley Thunder Cats have hired a new head coach/general manager to replace Brent Heaven, who was with the team for the 2011-2012 season but left to coach the BC Hockey League’s Trail Smoke Eaters.

Josh Hepditch will join the team in August. The 27-year-old Fredericton, N.B., defenceman played four seasons with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Moncton Wildcats from 2002-2006, followed by five seasons with the University of New Brunswick and last season with the Central Hockey League’s Allen Americans.

“We’re definitely looking forward to having him here and having him develop our program,” said Thunder Cats assistant coach Garth Ludwar.
