The Prince Charles Secondary School senior boys volleyball team had a successful weekend at the Cranbrook tournament on Nov. 8 and 9.

On Friday, the boys beat Cranbrook No. 2 in two sets, Fernie in three sets and Invermere in two.

On Saturday, they easily beat Fernie Academy to get in to the semifinals against Invermere. The boys played some outstanding volleyball against Invermere, passing exceptionally well, executing their offensive attack and playing as a solid unit.

In the final, the Creston boys squeaked out a 27-25 win in the first set against Cranbrook No. 1. Cranbrook took a commanding 22-16 lead in the second set, but Creston came storming back to make it 23-23, but fell short 25-23. They kept their momentum from the second set and easily handled Cranbrook No. 1 in the final set 15-7 for the championship.
