For the second year in a row, the Creston Chiefs peewee team has finished the East Kootenay regular season undefeated. At home on Saturday versus Whitefish, the Chiefs led 3-0 after the first period and 7-1 after two, with the final score ending up 9-2.

The team did some good things, but needs to clean up its own end and quit turning the puck over. Overall, they did enough to keep the streak alive and also have some fun. Leading the way were Kale Plotnikoff with two goals and two assists, Shayne Walker with two goals and an assist, and Etienne Boutet with three assists.

Starting with the Trail tournament this coming weekend, the team has 17 games lined up from now until end of first weekend of March, which should have them ready for provincials being held in Creston.
