The Creston Golf Club’s annual Blossom Open tournament, held May 22 and 23, saw a change this year, with the ladies flight becoming a team competition.
Sue Christison and Cherie Baker were the low gross winners, with a total score of 208. Janet O’Keefe and Virginia Harder earned the low net trophy, with a score of 188.3, followed by Joyce Johnson and Leslie Harbison (194.1), and Anke Croteau and Sue Vanderwindt (196.3).
In the men’s championship flight, Karson O’Keefe was the gross champion, shooting a total of 143 over the two-day tournament. The net champion was Danny Huscroft, also with a score of 143.
Results from the other categories were: First flight: Rick Czar (low gross, 149), Brayden Czar (low net, 142); Second Flight: Kevin Drinkle (low gross, 167), Tom Proud (low net, 140); Third Flight: Larry McKinnon (low gross, 180), Stewart Mensink (low net, 148).
