Cranbrook wins annual Creston slo-pitch tourney

Web Lead

Cranbrook’s Glacierview Plumbing won the 12th annual ladies slo-pitch tournament held at Lister Park from June 24-26.

There were three Creston teams and three out-of-town teams, with the Castlegar Ball Bags taking second place. As every year, all the players jump in to join a team that is shorthanded to make sure that all games are played, and every team has a lot of talent, which makes for great games.

Organizers appreciate the support of local merchants, all players and the volunteers. Next year’s tournament will take place from June 22-24th; anyone interested in playing can contact Sharon Kopp or Marlys Joy.
