Thirty-six teams from as far away as Grande Prairie, Alta., took part in the event, which has run continuously since 1963 (except for 1969, following the November 1968 fire that destroyed the civic centre).

Allison Ringstad of the Creston and District Credit Union presented the A Event trophy to winners Leslie Milan, Robin Aitkens, Kelley Rowe and skip Theckla Sawicki.
