Eastin Severtson was the lone division 1 boy competing for the Wave. Severtson finished in the top 5 in three of his individual events and was first with his division 2 boys freestyle relay.

Sophie Spears, now a second-year swimmer, placed within the top 10 several times and was 5th place in her 50m breaststroke.

The Wave had a strong showing in the Division 2 boys with first-year Oliver Valdal, and returning swimmers Ethan Pelly and Callum Ziefflie. At his first meet ever, Valdal placed top 12 in several of his races.

Pelly and Ziefflie both swam several best times, while also earning first or second in their races. Pelly finished with the silver medal for the category while Ziefflie took the gold. The three division 2 boys, along with Severtson, made up the division 2 boys winning the relay.

The Wave had three division 3 girls with Daedra Damery, Ali Brown, and Kiffy Thompson all competing. Damery swam a solid 50m freestyle and placed in the top 8. Brown finished top 12 in several of her races and earned lots of best times. Thompson, also swimming several best times, placed top 10 in her individual races.

Xander Webb competed in Division 3 boys. Webb placed top 12 in his 50m free, breaking the 1-minute mark.

Jeff Roelofse swam best times in all of his races and placed top three several times. These strong swims earned him the bronze medal for division 5 boys.

Creston Wave coaches Emily and Kieran Simpson also competed in their respective division 7 and 8 categories. Kieran placed top 5 in all of his events, while Emily placed top 3 in all of hers earning the gold medal for division 7 girls. Overall, the team finished 6th. Missing lots of their senior swimmers, the Wave is hopeful they will place higher throughout the season at the coming meets, and see more swimmers earning medals. The next meet for the Wave is in Trail on June 9th and 10th.
