To the Editor:
Yoga, yoga, yoga! Everywhere one turns in our society’s institutions — rec centres, schools, colleges, community halls — a new yoga class is starting.
Yoga is as essential to Eastern religions, as the Lordʼs Prayer is essential to Christianity. Yet, the Lordʼs Prayer was long ago kicked out of our institutions.
However, manʼs nature, which abhors a vacuum, has simply replaced the Lordʼs Prayer with yoga (holistic prayer). Sad, sad, sad, and at the taxpayers’ expense.
Perhaps I should ask the rec centre or my child’s school if I can run a class (at taxpayer expense) on the Lordʼs Prayer. What kind of reaction would I garner?
