To the Editor:
Days are shorter, dark comes earlier and your car may not be equipped for the change. Do you have lights burned out? Many vehicles on the road do.
For your safety, mine and that of all other drivers on the road with you, please go to your vehicle, turn on the low-beam headlights and put the emergency brake on. Circle your vehicle (it is not running) and check that all the headlights and brake lights are working. Replace all lights that have failed this check. Many auto parts businesses will sell you a bulb, and may even install it for you. If not, take it to a dealer.
Too expensive? Really? Your life may depend on it.
