To the Editor:
Having had no new members and finding the work to hard for the same group of oldies to continue, with deep sadness the Creston Go Gos (formerly the GoGo Grannies) non-profit organization has to say farewell.
Since April of 2005, with this amazing community’s support in all our fundraising endeavours, we have managed to send to the Stephen Lewis Foundation over $60,500. For this we give heartfelt thanks to the community, our supporters and all the Go Gos’ hardworking members.
We were one of the original six Go Go groups in Canada; there are now over 300. The logo we had created for our group is used in many of the other groups across Canada. Donations can still be sent to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
