Too many questions for NDP interim leader

We have all heard this before…

Nycole Turmel is the duly elected interim leader of the New Democratic Party, and this is also the leader of the loyal Opposition. The media’s talking heads, and even Prime Minister Stephen Harper, have been asking accusatory questions of Ms. Turmel with regard to her possible previous membership in this or that political party.

These questions have an unmistakable ring to them: “Are you now or have you ever been a member of…?” The inquisitors sound like direct descendants of Joseph McCarthy.
