Retired Creston Valley Community Network facilitator will miss members

I’ve come to love and respect this amazing group of people over the years, says Creston letter writer Mary Underhill...

To the Editor:

After 15 years of chairing the Creston Valley Community Network, I decided the time had come to “retire”, and thus told the group at the January meeting. The “official” retirement date was to be Feb. 10.

A total of 28 people were at that 8 a.m. meeting. And, would you believe, we had a wee party after the business was looked after — complete with coffee and cake, and a gift to me of a bottle of good white wine and two exquisite orchids, as well as lots of hugs and good wishes. I’m still blown away! (Evidently, the “do” was much easier to plan since I’m not on the Internet!)

How can I thank you all? I’ve come to love and respect this amazing group of people over the years, and I shall miss seeing you. Coffee or lunch sometimes, maybe? I hope so.

Mary Underhill
