Creston Pet Adoption and Welfare Society (PAWS) would like to take a moment to sincerely thank all of the many families and individuals who graciously and generously donate all of their recyclables to PAWS. But this feels very awkward, because oddly, we do not know who these wonderful people are, and furthermore, we have no way of ever finding out, who they are. We are thankful and grateful to you.

If you would like to join the ranks of these mystery donors, it is very easy. Dave Fowler, proprietor of Columbia Bottle Recycling on Payne Street, has a PAWS corner set up that you will see if you walk through the door and turn left. Just leave your bottles and cans with the others in the bins provided, and staff at the bottle depot will count-up their value at days’ end. Then at the month end tally, Dave presents a cheque to PAWS.

The cash recyclable list includes all dairy containers, all juice containers, all beer and pop cans, and any vessel of any size which once held alcohol.

The advantages of this kind of donation are that you don’t have to reach into your pocket to make a donation, because you already have. Just leave the stuff there, and walk away. No standing in line, no waiting.

Please join the mystery donors and help PAWS, ten cents at a time. Again, our most sincere thank you to the community!
