I am sad to read that the March 3 edition was the final one of the excellent column, Thought for Food, by Gail Southall.

To the Editor:

I am sad to read that the March 3 edition was the final one of the excellent column, Thought for Food, by Gail Southall.  I have enjoyed her column and found it to be extremely informed, balanced and comprehensive. As an intelligent advocate for thoughtful promotion and production of our food supply in rapidly changing times, she guided us through the examination of what healthy food is and where it comes from.
