Kootenay Meadows milk a step closer to a self-sufficient Creston Valley

The Harris family deserves our gratitude, respect and support for doing their part to create a cleaner and greener planet...

To the Editor:

It was a pleasure to drink the very delicious organic milk from Kootenay Meadows. The Harris family deserves our gratitude, respect and support not only for the great product but also for doing their part to create a cleaner and greener planet. This is another example of what can be achieved in this valley.

More and more local food is available. The valley could be nearly food self-sufficient, and export instead of import could be the order of day.

Recent floods and extreme weather conditions all over the world should be another wake-up call. Climate change is with us, CO2 levels have gone to 400 parts per million and leading scientists have put out the warning. If we don’t change the way we live, pollute and overconsume, climate change will be irreversible.

Will future generation have a liveable Mother Earth? Do we have the right to destroy what the Creator has so generously provided?
