Christmas is the time that charity giving comes to mind. Do a little research before you automatically return a cheque when those donation requests come in the mail. Check out www.moneysense.ca and its list of the top 100 charities rated by several categories, such as efficiency. You may be surprised which ones are not spending your money well.
