To the Editor:
Why would the tallest building in the Creston Valley not recognize the Nov. 11 Remembrance Day services by having one member of the workforce ascend to the rooftop and lower the Canadian flag to half-mast for the entire day?
Yes, everyone, you guessed right: The Columbia Brewery did not get the Canadian flag lowered to half-mast on Nov. 11 in recognition of all the fallen men and women who gave up their lives, and also for the many surviving men and women who reside in the Creston Valley, who ultimately won our freedom in Canada.
Creston has a great remembrance service for the many veterans past and present, and for the residents.
