To the Editor:
I am writing to commend Lorne Eckersley on his column (“This is the Life: B.C. government's promise of $40/day/student is clever, but not wise”). I believe he hit the nail on the head with that piece about the B.C. government and the BC Teachers’ Federation.
When I heard on the news what the B.C. government was going to do if no agreement was reached in time for September school opening, I immediately thought the government might just as well have announced that it had no intention of negotiating fairly with the BCTF. I think Mr. Eckersley put it very well. Thank you.
