William Robert "Bill" Dewald

April 1, 1963 - August 14, 2018
Bill Dewald passed away on August 14, 2018 in Creston, B.C. after a battle with cancer.

Bill was born at Creston Valley Hospital on April 1, 1963 and raised in Erickson, B.C. Bill lived a happy and active life. He was a loving son, father, husband, and brother. His family and close friends were a big part of his life.

Bill worked in the auto parts industry since the young age of 18 and was very well respected by all who knew him. He was employed by Lordco Auto Parts for the past 26 years and manager of the Creston store. He was active in the community with car clubs, car shows, and everyone knew him as "Lordco Bill".

One of Bill's passions from a very young age was working on vehicles. For many years Bill and his close friend Arnie Woker worked timelessly restoring Bill's 1967 Nova Super Sport- he was very proud of that car. Bill also found much enjoyment in spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, and quadding. He also, in more recent years, grew his passion for music and loved playing bass guitar, strumming up a tune or two with his band buddies.

Bill (Billy to all who knew him) will always be remembered as a gentleman, with a kind heart and a smile.

Bill is predeceased by his father William (Bill) Michael Dewald who passed away in January of 1993. He is survived by his mom Heidi Dewald; wife Tracey Dewald; son Jesse Dewald; sister Julie (Bill) Chiste; brother Darryl (Denise) Dewald; nieces Danielle Chiste, Jaimie (A.J.) Soloway and Melissa Dewald; nephew Michael (Mekelle) Dewald; Tracey's children Brendan (Ashley) Jorde, Jaella (Jace) Yerbury, Rylan and Jordana Lakes; and grandchildren Brett, Aspynn and Anistyn.

A Service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Creston Room at the Creston and District Community Complex, 312 19th Avenue North, Creston, B.C.
