William James "Bill" Crawford

Bill was born and raised in Creston. After graduation from PCSS, Bill became a heavy duty mechanic and moved to Vancouver, Cranbrook, Kamloops and Coleman, Alta. In 1983. Bill returned home to Creston, bought a logging truck and continued driving as an independent contractor until his retirement. On a visit to Thailand he met Phen who was to become his wife and they spent many of their winters together there.
Bill is survived by his wife Phen, daughters Carolyn Crawford, Shellie Youngberg, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, sister Vicky (Ernie) Gall and sister-in-law Sandy Crawford. Bill was predeceased by his parents Frank and Margaret, brother Dexter and sister Debbie.
A celebration of his life is being planned for January 11, at 2 pm in the Creston Legion. We invite people to share stories of his wonderful sense of humour, the things he shared with people and how he touched peoples lives.
The family thanks all who supported Bill in his final journey, with special thanks to the Home Healthcare Providers and and Ambulance Attendants for their service above and beyond.
Those wishing to do so may may a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in Bill's honour.
