Wesley T. Patton-Standen

February 15, 1992 ~ May 25, 2011.

It is with sad hearts that we are informing you of the passing of our son, Wesley T. Patton-Standen on May 25, 2011 at the Creston Valley Hospital with family by his side.

Wesley was born February 15, 1992 at Calgary, Alberta.

In September of 1993, he moved to Creston with his mother and older sister Melissa. In 1994, dad Don joined the family and in 1998, the union was made official, with Wesley being the ring bearer. Little sister Rebecca (Becca) was born in 2003. Wesley enjoyed many laughs with his sisters and enjoyed bugging them as many brothers do.

With the aid of his computer, Wesley was able to “talk” and he enjoyed “reading” stories to the kids at First Steps Daycare. Spending Thursday mornings with the residents of Crestview Manor was a highlight of his week. Wesley also enjoyed some of the activities at Cresteramics.

During his downtime, Wesley like to chillax on his bed listening to music and stories. He was reading the Inkheart Series before his passing. Wesley also enjoyed riding on the back of his mom’s quad and cruising around Stump Flats.

He was predeceased by his grandpa Curtis Blaine Smith and grandma Patricia Ann Standen.

Wesley will be dearly missed by his parents Roxanne and Don Standen, sisters Melissa and Rebecca, gramma June Smith, grampa Harold Standen, great-gramma Miriam Standen, uncles, aunts and cousins Brandon, Travis, Dustin and Terra (Luke and Isabella) Smith, Larry and Cathy (Tyler and Dana), Wayne and Deb (Colton) Standen, and numerous family members and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday June 4, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Br# 29 Hall.
