Walter H. (Wally) Weisbrodt

September 13, 1926 - August 23, 2011


Walter H. (Wally) Weisbrodt passed away at the age of 84 years at his Erickson residence on August 23, 2011 with family by his side, after a lengthy battle with cancer.


Wally was born to Augusta and Jacob Weisbrodt on September 13, 1926 at Regina, Saskatchewan, where he received his formal education.

Wally married Josephine Tokevich in Regina in 1947 and the couple opened a burger and fries cafe in Regina. After they moved to Calgary, Wally was employed with Canada Post as a letter carrier for about 15 years. Together Wally and Josephine raised four children and in 1987 they moved to Creston, where they retired on their five acre orchard. They attended the Creston Baptist Church.

Wally was predeceased by his wife Josephine, two brothers Bill and Eric and sister Elsie. Wally will be dearly missed by his four children, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and sister Ruth.


The funeral service was held on Saturday August 27, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Creston Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Atmore officiating.

A private family interment took place at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erickson, BC on Monday August 29th, 2011.
