Velma Irene Wanlin

1934 ~ 2010

The passing of Velma Irene Wanlin of Creston, BC, occurred on February 6, 2010 at the Swan Valley Lodge.

Born on December 4, 1934 in Waterville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Iva and Leslie Miller. Velma enjoyed volunteering at the Creston Valley Gleaners Society, gardening, biking, swimming, and the changing of the seasons. She loved her family.

Survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Johnny Wanlin; children, Rodney Condly (Jackie), Ronald Condly (Cheryl), Beverly Wanlin (Michael); grandsons, Graham and Daniel; sister Muriel Bubar; brothers, Larry, Ray and Vaughn; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Jean McConnell, Minnie Idella Thomas; brother, Leo Miller.

Celebration of Life was held February 11, 2010 at G.F. Oliver Funeral Chapel in Creston, BC with Pastor Brian Atmore officiating. Scattering of ashes will take place later this spring with immediate family in attendance.
