June 1, 1955 - February 10, 2022
In loving memory ~
Timothy James Wayling passed away peacefully in his home on February 10, 2022, in Creston, BC at the age of 66 years old. Tim was born on June 1, 1955 in Creston, BC to parents Thomas and Barbara Wayling. Alongside his 4 siblings, Tim was raised in the Creston Valley where he became an avid outdoorsman. He spent most of his life exploring the Kootenays either hunting and trapping big and small game, or fishing various mountain lakes and rivers. His knowledge of the outdoors was vast and was a resource for many wanting to learn more about the wilderness.
Tim was a stoic man but was always first to lend a hand. He had a career in construction as a journeyman carpenter, where he built many homes and businesses all over the Creston Valley. He was a lifetime member of the Creston Valley Rod and Gun Club and dedicated his time volunteering at events and teaching the CORE course to countless new hunters. He was also very proud to win Sportsman of the Year in 2015.
Tim will be dearly missed by his wife of 45 years, Jeannette, son Thomas (Tia) Wayling, grandsons Alex and Jordan, sister Sandy Wayling, and brother Brian Wayling.
There will be a celebration of life held on Saturday, April 9, at the Creston Valley Senior Hall on 810 Canyon St. at 1:00pm.
Friends wishing to make a memorial donation can do so to the Creston Valley Rod and Gun Club, Box 1, Creston, BC V0B 1G0.
