Tom was born in Creston, British Columbia on January 1, 1945 to Robert and Clara Millner. The 9th of 10 children. Missing Tom dearly are his partner, Sharon Ruston (Clearwater), her son David and her daughter Kenda, and their families, Tom's daughter, Laura Daburger (Ron Watters), grandchildren, Nicole (Michael) MacKenzie, Michael (Karlie) Daburger and Brittney Watters (Kamloops), sisters Dorothy Robertson (Victoria) and Laura Rampton (Alan) Vancouver as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Tom was predeceased by his wife Pearl, five sisters, Mary Kirk, Roberta Bjarnason, Isabel Perry, Catherine Gray, Elizabeth Domke and two brothers, Richard and James Millner.
Tom grew up in Lister loving the outdoors and spending many hours playing hockey. Being 6'7" was a big advantage on defence! Tom loved to drive both short haul and long haul and to spend time on the road. Camping and fishing were favourite pastimes. He lived in Fraser Lake and Kamloops and retired to Clearwater where he enjoyed his life with Sharon. Family was always important to Tom and he made many road trips to visit his mother who lived to 101 and to attend family gatherings.
There will be no Service at this time. Family will have a gathering in the future for interment at the Lister All Saints Anglican Cemetery. There will also be a gathering in Clearwater at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at DrakeCremation.com.
