April 6, 1956 - June 9, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Margaret Binks (nee Jensen), who passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 9, 2022, in Cranbrook, BC at the age of 66 years.
Susan was born on April 6, 1956, in Calgary, AB to parents Carl & Queenie Jensen. She will be remembered for her soft and kind soul, her beautiful smile, her deep interest in ancient world history and her love of all creatures on mother earth, especially her great interest in birds of every size. Susan excelled at crafts and jewelry making and could be seen at many venues selling her wares. Susan loved to volunteer her time with the Creston Public Library and Gleaners and will be greatly missed by all her friends in the Creston Valley and certainly by Shirley and Dave in Washington and Tat and Randy in Vancouver. In her spare time, Susan enjoyed walking at the Wildlife Centre.
Susan was predeceased by her parents Carl and Queenie Jensen, mother-in-law Winnie Bell, and her faithful Jack Russell dog Maggie.
Susan will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Mara, granddaughter Karleigh, stepdaughter Jill Upgaard, stepson Larry Binks Jr., and her husband of 18 years Larry Binks.
As per Susan's wishes, no Celebration of Life Service will be held.
