She married Norm Barrette on July 28, 1962 in Timmins, ON and continued living there to raise their three children for the next fifteen years. She held the position of secretary/treasurer for the Creston Valley Fall Fair for three years, enjoying it immensely. Garage saling and second hand store shopping with her daughters and grand-daughters was something she participated in with great fervor, teaching us all to be very practical in our spending.
