Sharon Wallace

Sharon Wallace (nee Kidd) passed away at home in Creston BC at the age of 80 years, on July 10, 2017, with her daughter Tania and friend Rosanne by her side.

Born in Vancouver to Catherine and Brian Kidd, Sharon grew up in the Renfrew area before marrying the love of her life in 1961 and moving to north Burnaby to raise their daughter. She lived on Capitol Hill for 46 years before moving to Creston in 2014 to be near her family.

Sharon was a member of AA for over 22 years and made many lasting friendships through the program in both Vancouver and Creston. She wanted to acknowledge their support and love throughout the years.

Sharon's many roles included teaching elocution, bookkeeping, food demonstrating and being a stay-at-home-mom. She will be remembered for her strength of character, compassion towards others and positive attitude towards life and death. She had a passion for crafts including jewellery making and needlework as well as a great love of shopping (especially with her longtime best friend Elsie). She was well known for her ability to coordinate her outfits and maintained her dignity and class to the end. She left this world without regrets.

Sharon was predeceased by her husband Boyd Wallace (of Boswell, BC) in 1984 and will be lovingly remembered by her only child Tania (Dennis) Wiklund of Sanca, BC, her two cherished granddaughters Erika and Olivia, and many family members and countless friends.

A memorial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family wishing to make a memorial contribution may do so to Valley Community Services, 915 Pine Street, Creston BC V0B 1G0.
