In Loving Memory ~

We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beloved... Sarah Colleen Stack. She passed away peacefully in Cranbrook, BC at the age of 70 while surrounded by her loving family.

Sarah was born in Vernon, BC in 1953 to Wilfred and Evelyn Kurbis. Her fondest childhood memories were at Okanagan Lake with family including her brothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In the 80s, she met and married her husband, Paul Stack. They settled in the Vernon area where they raised her pride and joy, their children Luke and Danielle. In her later years, she and Paul settled in Creston, BC.

She adored her three grandchildren and was a "super-shopper", continually on the hunt for clothing and special items for them.

Always looking to bring joy to those around her, she was well known for her beautiful voice, enthusiastic singing telegrams, a passion for entertaining, and for one of her greatest loves in life - turkey dinner. She was, above all else, a kind and generous woman who was a bright light to all she came in contact with, both loved ones and strangers.

Sarah was predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Evelyn, brother Bob (survived by Melissa), mother-in-law Peggy, and her two beloved dogs Booker and Bentley.

She is survived by her husband Paul, children Luke (Mattea) and Danielle (Troy), grandchildren Florence, Zander and Menze, brothers Ken (Nancy) and Rod (Agnes) as well as many beloved sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in Vernon, BC in the spring -- details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honour to Compassion Canada - www.compassion.ca/make-a-donation/

We love you, Sarah. You will be very dearly missed - until we meet again.
