Sadie Kathleen Adamski (née Beard)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sadie (Kitty) Adamski announces her peaceful passing on July 12, 2016.

Kitty was born in Lister, B.C. on November 20, 1921.

Kitty, her parents and her siblings were one of the founding families of Camp Lister.

She had a successful working career, which began and ended with Canada Post, advancing to postmaster of the Boston Bar Post Office. Kitty and Vince were long term residents of Boston Bar, BC where a street was named in their honour. They retired in Chilliwack and were active members of their community. She loved traveling, gardening, bowling and the arts.


Kitty was predeceased by her husband Vince Adamski, her parents William and Rose Edith Beard and her siblings Millicent, Doreen, Stella, Stanley, and Kirk.

She is survived by her nephew Stewart Mckay (Vicki), her niece Teresa Pol (Michael) and great-nieces Alicia, Sophia and Gabriela.

Kitty will be fondly remembered for her intellect, the gift of conversation, strong spirit, being a true lady and her faith being her quiet strength.

She is now in the arms of her lord and at peace, and will be laid to rest with her family at Lister Anglican All Saints Cemetery. Service will be held on August 20, 2016 in Lister, BC.
