Russell Pukas

April 18, 1934 ~ March 1, 2015


It is with deepest regret the family of Russell Pukas announce his peaceful passing at his home in Canyon on March 1, 2015.

Russell was born in Wynyard, Saskatchewan on April 18, 1934 to John and Vera (Schulas) Pukas.

Anyone that knew Russell knew he was a character; he has left us with memories to cherish.

Russell was predeceased by his father John; mother Vera; wife Joyce (Evanishen) and brothers Harry, Terrance and Paul.

Left to mourn his passing are Russell’s partner/wife Elsie (Marcil); brothers Victor (Lavina), Peter (Virginia); sisters Mary (Frank) and Zena; children Ray (Cindy), Dwayne (Teresa), Rob (Sue), Don (Denise), and Patsy; stepchildren Terry (Denice) Evanishen and Debbie Evanishen, as well as 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 stepgrandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

Russell’s Celebration of Life was held at Canyon Hall Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2:00 pm. with Pastor Rick Bettig Officiating.
