Rudy passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 6 in his 90th year. Rudy came from simple beginnings in Switzerland. He and his wife Edith immigrated to Canada in the mid- 1950's, arriving in Edmonton. After subsequent moves to Stettler and later Calgary, Rudy and his family finally settled in Wynndel in 1979 where they called the Creston Valley home for 40 years. Rudy was a painter who operated his own business successfully for many years. He was hard working, humble and pragmatic. Rudy was predeceased by his only son, Peter, in 2011 and his wife in 2012. Left to grieve his absence are his three daughters Astrid (Arnie), Yvonne (Bob) and Kathy (Paul) and his 7 grandchildren and one great grandson. The family wishes to thank staff and fellow residents at Crestview Village for making Rudy's final years fulfilling and enjoyable. At Rudy's request there will be no service.
