Roy Ralph Turner

April 7, 1920 ~ April 19, 2010

Roy Turner, beloved husband of Hazel Turner, received his final wish, reaching the age of 90 years.

A dearly loved husband of 66 years, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Roy was a former carpenter, woodworker, home builder/salesman, before becoming a resort owner in Nelson, B.C.

Roy retired to Creston in 1973 and pursued his passions of fishing, golfing and curling. As well, Roy always enjoyed a good game of bridge. He returned to Calgary in 2004 to be nearer to his family.

Roy leaves behind his loving wife, Hazel; children, Richard (Theresa) of Wetaskewin, AB; Patricia (Peter) Boast of Langley, BC and Frederick (Margaret) of Calgary; six grandchildren, Michael, Patti, Shelley, Bobbie, Daniel and Gregory; six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Grayson, Aleksandr, Leo, Aaden and Kenzi, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Arthur John (Bud) Turner and sister, Audrie Florence Gibson.

If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Society, 63 Cornell Road N.W., Calgary, AB T2L 0L4.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and caregivers at the Southwood Hospice, for the care and compassion shown to Roy and our family.

At Roy’s request, cremation has taken place and no Funeral Service will be held.
