October 30, 1927 - January 4, 2019
Rose passed away peacefully January 4th, 2019 at the age of 91 after a full and active life. She was born in Cranbrook to parents Teresa and Carmen Cillis October 30th, 1927. The family moved to Creston where Rose received her education. July 1st, 1944 Rose married Dominic Pascuzzo and moved to the farm in Sirdar where she lived for 71 years.

She took great pride in her garden, growing abundant crops of tomatoes, peppers, beans, and many other vegetables along with raspberries and blackberries. Summer and fall were busy times on the Pascuzzo farm. Tending the garden, harvest, then processing all the garden produce, along with apples, pears, plums, grapes, and nuts from the orchard. Rose was also proud of her geraniums and lilacs grown around the house providing large, bright blossoms welcoming visitors.

Rose was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church and Wynndel Catholic Church. She was active in organising extracurricular activities at the Sirdar school and social events at the Sirdar Community Hall.

In the 1960's, Rose was owner of the Sirdar General Store and ran the Sirdar Post Office from the late 50's until October 1977.

Rose enjoyed baking. Her breads, potato donuts, pizzelles and scalinis were always enjoyed by family and friends.

Rose was predeceased by her parents, husband Dominic, and sisters Mary Naso and Josie Bova. She is survived by her sons Sandy (Jane, Sirdar), and Mike (Mae, Sirdar), grandchildren, Rena (Rod, Calgary), Rona (Doug, Strathmore), Laura (Trent, Calgary), Tony (Caitlyn, Calgary): great grandchildren, Dominic, Kyle, Reed, Cole, and Marianna. Brother Victor Cillis of Calgary, and sister-in-law Ann Pascuzzo of Vancouver: numerous nieces and nephews.

Deeply loved and forever in our heart.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Leroux, Crestview Village and care workers for the excellent care and understanding given to Mom, Grandma, and Great Gran.
