Ron was born on February 20th, 1928 in Glenavon, Saskatchewan, and grew up in Candiac, Saskatchewan with his family. Having his aunts, uncles, and cousins close by, he kept close ties with his siblings and cousins all his life.
Ron enjoyed 25 years with the RCMP, living in many B.C. communities working as a Staff Sergeant.
Ron married in 1960, he and his wife Mary enjoyed a full life, including raising 3 children. They settled in the Creston Valley in 1972 and happily lived a country lifestyle in Canyon. Sports were a pastime that Ron loved. Many years were spent curling or cheering on a favourite baseball, football, or hockey team. He also loved his family and helped each one as he could. Ron didn't go far without sharing a big smile and a friendly handshake.
Predeceased by his wife Mary, in 2006. Also, his three sisters Irene, Verna, and Norma and his brother Keith.
Survived by his children, Heather (Lloyd) Morris, Shelley (Ron) Kepke, and John (Darlene) Winn. Grandchildren, Gary, Brent, Adam (Tammy), Parker (Sierra), Nicki (Mike), Lisa (Dave), Tim (Mikayla), David, and Evan. Great Grandchildren, Charlie, Sawyer, Jovie, Leni, Ben, Milo, and Payton.
