Ron Chard passed away in Creston, B.C. on December 15, 2018 at the age of 78 years.
Ron was born on July 21, 1940 in Mission City, BC. to Louis and Olga Chard. Ron was educated in Rock Creek, BC, and then went on to work for the BC Forest Service in Fauquier, Golden and Creston, BC. He loved spending time on Kootenay Lake, especially at Tye.
Ron is predeceased by his parents Louis and Olga Chard; wife Lucy Chard; and his brother Allan Chard.
He is survived by his brother Wayne (Rose) Chard; sister Linda Chard; children Terry (Carol) Mercer, Rhoda (Ron) Hascarl, Betty (Fred) Ahlefeld, Janet (Cliff) Schofer, and Jack Mercer; his nephew Darrell Chard; numerous nieces and nephews; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
