Husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully with family by his side at Crest View Village on October 05, 2010
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Alice; his two daughters Belva (Jeremy) Lang and Rhonda (Dean) Backous; six grandchildren: Talitha, Tonia, Derrick, Sarah, Nikolaos; six great-grandchildren: Taylor, Issac, Nikki, Koaltyn, Kaitlyn, Kylan; two brothers: Ward (Barb) Langstaff, Jim, and one sister: Pauline, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters Charlotte, Jean, Dorothy; and brothers Bill and Vern.
He was known as determined and serious but at the same time the meekest and mildest man by all who knew him.
Roger will always be lovingly remembered for his kindness and willingness to help anybody in any way.
Special thanks go to the many friends and relatives that visited and spent time with Roger while in the Creston Hospital and Crest View Village.
Roger’s family would like to thank the staff at Creston Hospital and Crest View Village for their friendship and warm compassionate care for the past 10 months.
A memorial service was held Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
