Robert (Bob) Ewen Sampson
July 2, 1927 ~ December 7, 2012
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father, Bob Sampson on December 7, 2012, in Edmonton, AB.
Bob was born in Cut Knife, SK on July 2, 1927. He farmed in the Wardenville district near Cut Knife until 1974 when he semi-retired to White Rock, BC after the death of his brother George. Dad and Mom moved to Creston, BC (he called this "God's country") in 1981 and lived there until 2012 when the family moved to Edmonton after he suffered a stroke.
Dad loved smoking his pipe, golfing at the par 3 course in Canyon, his Subaru car and his beloved dogs.
Left to mourn are his four children, Greg, Lynn (Mike) Kanak, Debbie (Don) Klaehn, Diane (Ray) Wilkinson; four grandchildren, Jorin, Trevor, Tyler, Amber (Jordan) and Ethel, and many friends and relatives.
A Celebration of Dad's life will take place in May 2013 in Creston, BC.
The family would like to thank Virginia Park Lodge staff and management for their care and kindness and all those involved with his care while he lived in Edmonton.
