Born April 18, 1934 near Dundurn, Saskatchewan. Passed away March 7, 2021, Creston, BC (CVCV).
Raised on a farm near Carrot River, Sask. by his parents Euna and Lawrence Morrow with three brothers. He went on to do a variety of things in his long life.
Rodeo in both Canada and the USA, Chuckwagon racing, Logging in Quebec, Ranch hand in B.C. and Alberta, Oil rigs in the early 1950's boom in Alberta, Running his own power tong business in the oil fields near the Estevan, Sask. area, Became a journeyman welder while attending SAIT in Calgary and welding in Fort McMurray working for GCOS, then became a welder/ironworker with IronWorkers Local 771 out of Regina Sask.
His final career was instructing in the welding program at SIAST in Moose Jaw, Sask. retiring in 1993. He lead an adventurous life, surviving severe accidents due to his very strong will and love of life. Dusty lived hard and played hard, but was a generous, kind, hard working, honest man.
He was a devoted husband and father. A true spirit of the old west, he was the smiling, story telling cowboy who loved rodeo, horses, fishing, hunting, camping and anything outdoors. His rodeo events included bronc riding and then team roping. He was active in horse 4-H in both Moose Jaw and Flagstaff with his younger children.
In 1984, he and Brenda realized dream of living in the country with horses when they settled on an acreage near Moose Jaw, Sask. Another dream of living in the USA (being entitled to citizenship through his mother) was realized after his retirement. In 1995, he moved his family to Flagstaff, AZ to another acreage with horses where they resided for ten years. On returning to Canada in
2004, the family settled on an acreage in the Kidd Creek area near Creston with their horses, and lived there until he was no longer able to manage it. In 2019, he and Brenda moved into a condo complex in Creston until his failing health necessitated his move into a care facility.
Dusty will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Brenda. His older children: Larry (Karen) Morrow, Anita (Don) Reid, Joyce Morrow, Slade (Vonnie) Morrow, Georgina (Gord) Gadd. His younger children Allan Morrow and Devin (Brandy) Morrow, 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. His brother John (Martha) Morrow, numerous nieces and nephews, brother in law Jim Der and nephew Mitchell.
Predeceased by brothers Bill (Connie) Morrow and Allan Morrow. Sister in law Karen Der.
