Pearl Billey

February 26, 1922 ~ September 26, 2010

It is with much sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother Pearl Billey at the age of 88 years.

Pearl was born in Wahstao, Alberta and went to school in White Earth and was married to her husband, Peter Billey in Edwand, Alberta. Peter and Pearl moved to Coleman, Alberta; Kitchener, British Columbia and then settled in Canyon for many years and finally moved into Creston, British Columbia.

Pearl’s greatest love was her family and her hospitality knew no boundaries – there was always room for another plate at the table. She had many hobbies and interests such as baking, cooking, sewing, knitting, crosswords, fishing and of course Reno.

Pearly was predeceased by her husband Peter, son Peter Roy, five brothers: Roy, Art, Alex, Andy and Victor and sister-in-law, Evelyn.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Marshall (Marlene); daughter Donna (Gene); grandchildren Pamela, Jason, Colby, and Justin; great-grandchildren Colton, Courtenay, Lexi, Teija, Caydence and Jaiden; brothers Tommy and Wally (Lena); sisters Helen (Gordon), Vickie (Bert) and sisters-in-law Elva, Karen and Marge.

We would like to extend our thanks to the staff of Crest view Village for their wonderful care of our Mother.

We will all miss you every day and cherish our happy memories of you.

A Memorial Service was held September 30, 2010 at 2:00 at the G. F. Oliver Funeral Chapel with Pastor Greg Kjos officiating.
