Patricia Anne Morrison

June 30, 1940 ~ October 30, 2010

Pat was born June 30, 1940 at Kuskanook, BC. She was the sixth child of Richard and Mabel O'Neil.

Pat spent her early years growing up along the shores of the beautiful Kootenay Lake. She gained her early education at Sirdar Elementary School. She went on to graduate from P.C.S.S. in 1959, and then married Gary Leavitt.

Pat grew up helping her dad care for his horses and had her own pony at a very young age and never lost her love of horses. After leaving Creston, she lived for a short time in the Okanagan before moving on to Dawson Creek where she resided for many years. She had been involved in several business ventures but always kept close contact with her horses. Pat returned to Creston in 2001 to care for her mother. She remained there until 2005 when she returned to Okotoks.

Pat was predeceased by her parents; her husband Bill Hamilton and son-in-law Buck Hamilton; grandson Zak Friesen; four brothers, George, Vernon, Art and Jack; and sister Peggy O'Neil.

She is survived by her daughters Leah Friesen, Robyn Hamilton, Yvonne, Rachel and Adell; grandsons Ryan, Chance and Wyatt; granddaughters Aleta and Brooke; former husband and friend Bob Morrison; three sisters, Eveline, Norma and Shirley; and one brother Kelly.

A Funeral Service was held November 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elks Hall, 62 Elizabeth St. Okotoks, AB.
